Reminder:
TransCanada may approach you soon either in person or via letter as the 30-day time clock on the Governor is ticking now that the NDEQ presented him with their “evaluation” (click for link to evaluation) of TransCanada’s preferred route across Nebraska. February 2, 2013 is the 30-day deadline for the Governor to either approve the route TransCanada wants thereby immediately giving TransCanada eminent domain rights or if he will deny the route whereby TransCanada would likely apply to the Public Service Commission for route determination and approval.
State Dept. Meeting
Nebraska is the only state that gets one last shot at testifying in hopes of changing some of the major flaws in the State Department's environmental review.
The Department of State hosted a public meeting on the proposed Keystone XL project on
April 18, 2013, at the Heartland Events Center, 700 East Stolley Park Rd., Grand Island, NE.
The State Department is reviewing these and other comments and a “National Interest” Determination will
have to conclude prior to the President issuing his decision on the project.
